Go easy and be flex! That is easily my favorite and best advice with planning for a NYC engagement session or proposal. If you're hoping to have those perfect empty cityscapes, make sure to go early and on a weekday (avoiding any holidays!). Sunrise is definitely a perfect time to avoid the crowds.
Plan a route that won't kill ya! NYC is a lot of walking — make sure your route gives you a few breaks, both for water and for a bathroom. Public bathrooms can be tricky, so finding cafes along the way where you can grab a drink + a potty break is essential.
Don't fret if it rains. Weather can be totally unpredictable in NYC. But honestly, a stormy, rainy session is perfect and unique. Not many folks have raining NYC engagement photos!
